So many as two couple from this union wereconsidered up to the standard to gain a place inthe entry of 1874, and included Fallible, whobecame head of a Belvoir family, being used every-where, as was his son Founder. But to-day theFallible line is nothing like so pronounced in thekennel as that of Weathergage, 1876, who was a. Frank Gillard in the Dukes Room at the Belvoir Kennels. three-cornered, flat-sided, home-bred hound forwhich Mr Albert Brassey would not give £10 whenincluded in the old draft. But breeding will tell,for when carefully mated Weathergage never siredanything as mean-looking as himself, whilst in thefield he was good in every part of a run, possessingnose, tongue, drive, constitution, and devilry whenbreaking up a fox, qualities which he transmittedto his stock.
