Today, #25N, thousands of women took to the streets of Quito, Ecuador, to commemorate the World Day Against Violence Against Women. This International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women reminds us of the strength of the collective struggle for a more just, safe and violence-free world. Women of all ages march to demand justice, protection and human rights. Every step, every shout and every banner becomes an act of resistance against fear and violence. This march not only raises the voices of those who are no longer here, but also makes visible the social discontent against the policies of the current government of Daniel Noboa, which have been insufficient to guarantee a dignified and safe life for all. Today we fight for those of us who are here, for those who have left and for those who will come.
