SAN CLEMENTE ISLAND, California (Oct. 12, 2022) Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 1st Class Chris Allen, assigned to the “Eightballers”of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 8, inspects rescue gear off the coast of San Clemente Island. During Helicopter Sea Combat Weapons School Pacific (HSCWSP) exercise PHOENIX RESCUE 23-1, squadrons from Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Pacific (HSCWP), Marine Air Group (MAG) 39 and 26th Weapons Squadron conducted maritime CSAR training aimed at improving CSAR capabilities.
