The mucous membrane forms a cup-likecavity around the termination of each pyramid, andthe ca%-ity, termed the cali/x, receives the ui-ine fromthe open terminations of the tubes, and conveys ittowards the jjclvis, from whence it passes downthe ureter into the bladder.
