The piece of wood is fastened into the back bench-vice, andthe saw is used according to the dhections given inNo. 15. For method of execution see No. 41, and also jointing, , p. 124. For method of execution see No. 44. For method of execution see No. 12. For method of execution see No. 33. For method of execution see No. 33. To produce a goodresult the plane must be worked very smoothly andsteadily. Care must be taken that the under piece is level. The woodto be planed is placed on it, and holes are drilled withthe pin-bit, close to each end of the upper piece, throughto the under piece. Suitable pins are then driven intothese holes, and a stable foundation is thus provided forthe work of the plane. 1.
