Gov. Wood was twice married,—first in January,1826, to Ann M. Streeter, daughterof Joshua Streeter,formeriy of Salem, Washington Co., N. Y. They hadeight children. Mrs. W. died Oct. 8, 1863, and inJune, 1865, Gov. Wood married Mrs. Mary A., widowof Rev. Joseph T. Holmes. Gov. Wood died June 4,1880, at his residence in Quincy. Four of his eightchildren are now living, namely: Ann E., wife ofGen. John Tillson; Daniel C, who married Mary ; John, Jr., who married Josephine Skinner,and Joshua S., who married Annie Bradley.
