Since 1974, when it was featured in the mediocre James Bond movies 'The Man with the Golden Gun' and 'Tomorrow Never Dies', Khao Phing Kan has been popularly called James Bond Island. It was heavily damaged during the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, but is now thankfully back to its beautiful original state.
