The variety known as Ball Head has been selected and perfected for more than fifty years by the Danish Gardeners, they prize it so highly that they grow it almost ex- clusively for winter cabbage, and annually export large quantities to London and other ports. It will stand long journeys and keep far into the spring and is of most rich and mild taste. Heads round as a ball, of good size, solid and very fine grained, of extreme- ly delicate cooking quality. Last year the demand for the Ball Head Cabbage was far greater than we anticipated, and consequent- ly our supply was exhausted long before the season was over. We have this year secured a much larger lot of this most excellent cab- bage.
