Leaves firm,glabrous, roughish-margined, narrowly linear, entireor sometimes with a few distant teeth, acute oracuminate at the apex, sessile by a broad claspingand often slightly cordate base, 3-6 long, il-4wide; heads paniculate, rather distant, about ibroad; involucre hemispheric, about 3 high, itsbracts glabrous, linear-subulate, very acute, imbri-cated in 3 or 4 series, the outer shorter; rays violetto white, 4-s long; pappus pale.
