The Tamur river valley in eastern Nepal


East of Everest in Nepal in the area between the high Himalayan mountains of Kangchenjunga and Makalu is a conservation area containing the deep valleys of the Arun and Tamur rivers separated by the 5180 m high Lumba Sumba La pass the area is home to several different Nepali ethnic groups living is isolated villages as well a some of the countries most endangered wildlife
