Jan Blanken Jansz., Superintendent or Waterworks. Jan Blanken (1755-1838) is dressed in the Uniform of Inspector General of the Water Management. He bears the order drawing at (from left to right) the order of the red eagle of Prussia, the order of the Dutch lion and the order of the legion of honor. In the background, Willemssluizen in Amsterdam is probably depicted. The Willemssloots are access to the North Holland Channel, which came ready in 1824 and one of the best known works was from the hydraulic engineering whites. The locks were named after the client King Willem I.
