Astylosterninae Asty'losternus Werner, 1898 Remarks: All Astylosternus were strongly polymorphic and difficult to assign to any described taxon. We identi- fied A. rheophilus tchabalensis based on morphology. Based on a 600 bp long segment of the 16S rRNA gene we identified two of the other polymorphic Astylosternus as conspecific with the latter species.
