It is so far satisfactory, that these curious, and, for the age, interesting workswere not executed under the direction of Egyptians, although it is not unlikely that the skill ofsuch of that nation as were ill the camp was made available in some of the practical operations;but there can be no question that Bezaleel and Aholiah had been instructed in Egypt in thatknowledge which qualified them for the service they imdertook. No one will, at the presentday, contend that the Hebrews could know anything of the finer arts, but what they had learntof the Egyptians during their sojourn and bondage in Egypt.
