Abbot's Palace in Breda in the region of La Selva province of Gerona,Catalonia,Spain

Set of buildings built during the time of Abbot Miquel Sampsó (1461-1507). The courtyard of the abbey, restored in 1980, is one of the emblematic corners of the town. It is accessed through a semicircular vault from Prat street. Above the portal is the coat of arms of Abbot Sampsó, which can also be seen above the door of the main floor, where the date 1478 can be found. The facades facing the courtyard show Gothic elements of great interest, such as ogee windows or crowns , the balcony with wooden railing or the well. Restored by Josep Manuel Infiesta Monterde. Breda is a small municipality located in the eastern parts of Montseny, within the region of La Selva. Breda has been recorded since the 11th century, when it was a rural town, but it cannot be considered a fully settled population until 200 years later.
