Malayan Night Heron (Gorsachius melanolophus), also known as Malaysian Night Heron. The species is secretive and shy and the world population is rather small (estimated 2000 to 20000 individuals). The individual depicted is a juvenile bird that visited Singapore Botanic Gardens in December 2009.
