BREMERTON, Washington (June 9, 2017) Sailors fight an aircraft casualty during a drill aboard USS John C. Stennis' (CVN 74) flight deck. These types of drills are conducted to keep the crew ready for upcoming flight deck certifications. John C. Stennis is conducting a planned incremental availability (PIA) at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, during which the ship is undergoing scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
