Alesund is a small town (pop. 45000) in M¿re og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Sunnm¿re, and the centre of the lesund Region. It is a sea port, fishing centre and cruise liner stopping point. Just outside the town, we can see this wonderful scenery of islands, rocky inlets and mountains which are still snow-capped in June.
