Schoonover was born at Kenton, Hardin county, Ohio, March15. 1844. son of Jacob and Lucy (Walter) Schoonover, both natives ofNew York state, who settled at Kenton, where Jacob Schoonover wasengaged as a carpenter the rest of his life, his death occurring in the earlyfifties.
