Christmas illuminations in Essen, Germany. 2006
In the weeks before christmas, Essen has, since the 50's presented a light show in the city centre, under the motto "Europe in Essen." In 2006 the theme was "Guest country Hungary." Also on display were presentations for the forthcoming cultural capital of Europe in 2010.
