The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Bush (CVN 77) departs Naval Station Norfolk for its maiden deployment. George Bush, the Navy's newest aircraft carrier, deployed as a part of the George Bush Carrier Strike Group (CSG) in support of Maritime Security Operations (MSO) and Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) efforts in the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility.
