(March 11, 2017)— Aviation Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class Jaren Sones, a native of Hughesville, Pennsylvania, inspects the tail rotor of an MH-60S Sea Hawk assigned to the “Merlins” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 3 on the flightline on Naval Base Coronado. HSC 3 continuously conducts maintenance and routine checks in order to maintain operational readiness and meet the maritime objectives of the Navy.
