British-Iranians and supporters gathered outside Downing street to protest against the ruling Islamic Republic in Iran and the IRGC’s conduct. On 16 September 2022, the 22-year-old Iranian woman Mahsa Amini, also known as Jina Amini died of injuries she received whilst in the custody of the religious morality police of the Iranian government. Amini's death resulted in a series of protests across Iran against the ruling Islamic republic.
