On a very rainy October day, I took a walk on a trail within the Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park near Orick California. I spotted this little footbridge covered in big leaf maple leaves that had already turned and fallen. I thought the scene with the weathered old wooden bridge over the small creek told the story of autumn in the temperate rainforest quite well.
