A littlefurther on the trail leaves the main stream, which here flowsdown from the south, and turns up a small sandy tributaryto the south-west, then turns west through low wooded hillsintersected by rice fields, and then runs north-west up asmall valley to reach the village of Shaho Kan, 25 li fromMatsung Tan.
