Small blood-vein moth
Small blood-vein (Scopula imitaria) moth, a member of the family Geometridae. The flight period is usually July and August. This species occurs in waste ground and hedgerows and is found across Europe and North Africa. The larvae feed on various forms of privet. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in June.
