Variable bush frog ( Raorchestes akroparallagi)


Researchers admiring a bush frog in the forest of southern western ghats. A newly discovered (2009) bush frog from western Ghats. As the name suggests this frog can changes its appearance (colors). Found him on the rainy night when it was croaking under a "koova" plant ( Malyalam name for medicinal plant) for its mate.
