General Leonard F. Chapman, Jr., Commandant of the Marine Corps, is pictured holding a North Vietnamese Army (NVA) field map that was captured by Marines during Operation Taylor Common near Da Nang. The map was presented to him by Major General Ormond R. Simpson, commanding general, 1st Marine Division, during Chapman's tour of Marine units in Vietnam.
