Benign skin tumour. Pyogenic granuloma on the forehead. A pyogenic granuloma is neither pyogenic nor a granuloma. It is infact a benign skin tumour which often appears after minor injury. The swelling is red, moist and tender and will normally disappear without treatment but can be removed by electrocautery, cryosurgery, or more conventional surgery.
