HMS Illustrious (R06) waits temporarily in D Lock at Portsmouth Naval Base on the 30th November 2016 prior to entering tidal waters for the first time in over two years. The ship will remain alongside at the Naval Base until 0930 on Wednesday 7th December 2016 when, weather permitting, she will commence her final voyage under tow to the Leyal Ship Recycling facility in Turkey.
