Seige of Sidney Street -The Siege of Sidney Street (January 1911), also known as the Battle of Stepney, took part in the East End of London between British police supported by soldiers, Following a robbery and the killing of three police officers by Latvian revolutionaries. This historic photograph shows a young Winston Churchill (the then Home Secretary) standing shoulder to shoulder with police and soldiers.
