All ex-traneous matter and dis-cussions have been care-fully excluded, the attemptbeing made to allow nounnecessary details to cumber the text. The subject-matter is brought up to dateat every point, and the work is as nearly as possible the combined opinions of theten specialists who figure as the authors.
