Hundreds from the Anglo-Iranian Community in London and supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) took part in a rally in Trafalgar Square, on Sunday 6 October 2013 to support the international campaign “Free 7 Ashraf Hostages”. Those gathered demanded the immediate release of the seven Iranian dissidents, including six women, taken hostage by the Iraqi Prime Minister's Special Forces during its massacre in Camp Ashraf on 1 September.
