A herd of Giraffe wade across a bay in Lake Mzizima in the Selous Game Reserve. Giraffe will only cross shallow water with a solid footing as they cannot afford to slip and fall as they cannot swim. This group is a temporary gathering of females and young that form a creche for the protection of the young.
