LOGAR PROVINCE, Afghanistan -- Army Pvt. Christopher Adams, a 22-year-old infantryman and native of West Palm Beach, Fla., with 1st Platoon, D Company, 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, Task Force 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team. Adams, who already has one deployment to Afghanistan with the 173rd, extended his time with the unit to be able to deploy with them again. “There were too many new guys and I thought we needed more combat experience,” he said.
