These people have eyes but they see turn from this most astounding of earths natural won-ders disappointed, solely because they have failed to obtain aright comprehension of the mighty spectacle, such as is dueto every visitor. Where lies the fault ? Perhaps in them-selves, more likely in their stupid guides ; certainly not inthe cataract. It is the object of the present work to help every visitorto see the Niagara cataract in all its greatness as it writer assumes the impossibility of anyone obtaininga fair conception of the stupendous waterfall and goingaway unsatisfied.
