Tokyo, Japan. Monday 9th July 2012. President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, discusses the previous days developments at a press conference in which approximately 70 countries and organisations attended. $16Bn dollars in development aid was pledged to Afghanistan to reassure the Afghan government and people that it will not be abandoned once all troops pull out in the next two years. President Karzai said that his country faced a hard road, but he vowed to improve security and fight corruption.
