Metals and alloys. Collection of common objects that are made from metals and metal alloys. Alloys are a mix of two or more metals. Metals and alloys present here include copper (kettle), pewter (jug), aluminium (foil on chocolate bar), bronze (helmet), tin (dragon sculpture), brass (ornament, lower left), steel (nut and bolt, lower right), and rusting corrugated iron (surface on which the objects have been placed). Pewter is mostly tin, mixed with other metals. Bronze is mostly copper, with tin added. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Steel is iron with carbon added.
