This Art Extra of the Pall <SMa/l ^Magazine contains a uniquecollection from the studies and drawings bv Turner which arepacked away in tin boxes at the National Gallery. They aredescribed by Mr. E. T. Cook, who noted them when makinginvestigations for his great edition of Ruskins works. Hisrevelations as to the curious condition of neglect in which thisremarkable accumulation of Buried Turners had been allowedto lie for fifty years have naturally created a deep interest inthese precious assets of the nation.
