Similar in habit to the Daybreak flowers are a delicate shade of light pink, shad-ing to a deep, rich pink in the center, globe-shaped,borne on long, stiff stems, and a profuse packet, NEW ASTER VIOLET KING. The leaves are narrowand sparse, and the branches spring from close tothe ground. The entire energy of the plant seemsgiven to the production of twelve to twenty long,slender, upright stems, crowned with immensefeathery flowers. The long, recurved petals givethe flowers an exceedingly graceful effect, height-ened in many cases by the ragged, irregular charac-ter of the petals in the center of the flower.
