He was faithful in the dischargeof e\ery duty and conscientious in all hisdealmg with his fellow men. A man offew words, but many deeds, he was alwayswilling to do what he could for the advance-ment of his adopted county. He was astrict anti-slavery man and a stanch Repub-lican.
