No doubt can exist as to the brilliant results obtained inthis condition by operative measures, and the writer is convinced thatX-ray or any other palliative form of treatment will never take the placeof early operation. With the reservation indicated, good results have been obtainedby both X-rays and radium. It is a matter of general observation thatwhen so treated the condition of patients is ameliorated, the control ofmicturition is re-established in some cases, and prolonged treatment results.
