The in-terior Is finely finished in polished walnut. The insideshutters and finish are of Hobbss Improved style,giving massive and artistic effect upon entering. Thehouse Is very commodious and supplied with all thenew Improvements, at a cost of about $20,000. Itwas built under a system of giving each mechanican opportunity to estimate for his own work, makingthe brick-layer, carpenter, and plasterer, etc., eachresponsible to the owner, and also supplying eachbranch of mechanics with an opportunity of receivingthe merit of his particular branch of work,—a modewhich Is rapidly gaining favor.
