Now after another year's experience it is more evident than ever that it fully justifies its name. While other early varieties blight. Vigorosa keeps right on with its magnificent growth of large spreading tops, and when it comes to harvesting time the way the smooth hand- some tubers roll out is enough to gladden every farmer"s heart. One man who grew Vigorosa for us last year said, "Why, it looked just as if some one had gone along the row after the digger and poured the potatoes in out of a basket.;; It is a very handsome potato. It has a beautiful flesh-colored skin, with consider- able of a netting. It is smooth and regular in form, and its quality for either baking or boiling, is just perfect, fully equal to World"s Fair. Altogether it seems to have no faults whatever, and we believe it will prove a great money maker among early potatoes. The Ohio Ex. Station, in a test of nine varieties, including Carman Xo. 3 and Rural New Yorker, reports Vigorosa second, Carman Xo. 3 alone outyielding it, and that by only two bushels per acre. It almost doubles Early Michigan. In the Michigan Ex. Station's published report of 77 varieties only one matured earlier than Vigorosa. and only eleven (all late) outyielded it. William Henry Maule in his 1899 catalogue, says:—"My personal experience with Vigorosa on my trial grounds at Briar Crest, makes me willing to give it a consp
