Eveand Sutton believe that the majorityof glandular tumors of the testicleoriginate in the remnant of theWolffian body lying between theglobus major of the epididymis andthe testicle proper. This remnantof the Wolffian body is known asthe paradidymis (see Fig. 87). Adenoma of the testicle is characterized by the existence of numer-ous small cysts. The cyst-spaces are lined with columnar or stratifiedepithelium. If the tumor attains large size, it causes atrophy of thetesticle by pressure. The tumors are encapsulated, but in the few casesthat have come under the observation of the writer their enucleation. The tumors varied in size from ahickory-nut to a walnut, and on section presented a honeycomb appear-ance, owing to the presence of numerous cysts, the largest of whichdid not exceed the size of a hempseed (Fig. 88). The differential diagnosis of adenoma of the testicle must take intoconsideration tuberculosis, gumma, carcinoma, sarcoma, and circum-
