The reversed cipher "C" beneath a princely crown and the motto "NUNQUAM RETRORSUM" is on one side, the leaping Welf stallion, also beneath a princely crown, and the motto, repeated, is on the other. The facetted socket is divided by balusters and has a parrying bar. The shaft has been shortened below the straps.
