Insects of the order hymenoptera, 19th century artwork. This order includes the ants, bees, wasps and sawflies. At top left is cherry gall wasp (Cynips quercusfolii), at top right is a giant horntail (Urocerus gigas), at bottom left is a large bee-fly (Bombylius major), and at bottom right is a European hornet (Vespa crabro).
