The sinking of the German cruiser 'Blücher' in the North Sea, World War I, January 24, 1915. The SMS 'Blücher' was sunk by the Royal Navy during the Battle of Dogger Bank. She sustained over 70 hits from British shells before rolling over and sinking, continuing to return fire until the end. Only 237 of her crew of 792 were rescued.
