Acne keloidalis nuchae
Acne keloidalis nuchae (AKN) on the nape of a patient's neck. AKN is a type of folliculitis, the inflammation of hair follicles, that affects the scalp and neck. The inflammation can result in pustules and lead to scaring and hairloss. The cause is not known. It is most common in men with curly hair.
