Bothin Canada and in the United States he lecturedand preached to immense audiences, and alsotook a prominent part in the erection of theMetropolitan Methodist Church in Toronto. Herepresented the Canadian Church at the Meth-odist Conference held in Manchester in 1871, andin the autumn of that year he represented theBritish Church at the Conference of the Meth-odist Episcopal Church of the United States heldat Brooklyn, While in Canada, Dr. Pun-shon was active in promoting an adequate.
