The so called New York pattern is illustrated byFigure 239. The ac-tion of this fast will bebetter appreciated whenit is remembered that inNew York, the blindsare usually hung Hushwith the outer casing,and the sill is rebatedso that the bottom of the blind strikes against the upperrebate.
